Royal Crescent

Royal Crescent from Royal Victoria Park

viewed from Royal Victoria Park

Royal Crescent was built during 1767-75 by John Wood the Younger (1728-1801). The first and finest crescent of houses in Great Britain. A memorable sight. Here you can see where George IV, when he was the Prince of Wales, and his brother the Duke of York resided while in Bath. Visit No1 to experience the interior of a very thorough and authentic restoration of a Georgian house, owned by the Bath Preservation Trust.
